Thirty Ideas for End of the Year Awards
Celebrate your students’ achievements with end-of-year awards! This post offers ideas and examples to help you create personalized awards that your students will love.
First, I’d like to share a personal anecdote – I was once nominated for a “Best Teacher Face” award. After teaching for twenty-one years, I’ve certainly mastered the art of “The Look.” Although the award may sound amusing, it’s crucial to approach end-of-the-year awards with sincerity and thoughtfulness. Making light of these accomplishments with trivial awards may send the wrong message and detract from the importance of recognizing and valuing each student’s journey. In my case, I didn’t think the award was that funny and was relieved that someone else won it.
